Smart Report Maker Version 8.1.0 Has Been Released!
We are excited to announce the release of Smart Report Maker 8.1.0, which comes with many new features and bug fixes.
1- New Report designs
Smart Report Maker version 8.1.0 comes with a better design and themes for the generated reports. Check this link to a demo report generated by Smart Report Maker version 8.1.0.
2- Subtotals and Grand totals
With the new version of Smart Report Maker, you can include subtotals and grand totals in your reports to calculate the sum, average, minimum, maximum, and count of any column(s) for each group of records and for all records. For example, you can design an ‘orders per region’ report (that lists order details of each region) to also include the total of sales for every region in a row at the end of each section, as well as the total of all sales at the end of the report.
To include subtotals in your report all you need to do is select the desired summary function and the column(s) for which you’d like to calculate a subtotal as shown in the image below.

Grand totals are calculated from detailed data, not from the values of the subtotals. For example, if you use the sum summary function, the grand total row displays the sum of all of the detail rows in the list, not the sum of the values in the subtotal rows.
2- Better Exporting Options especially for eastern languages.
- The new version comes with some enhancements when exporting to PDF such as the ability to export headers and footers to all report pages and the ability to export report grouping and subtotal.
- The PDF export works fine for eastern languages such as Arabic, Hebrew, and Chinese.
3- Create daily reports
The new version comes with some new data filters such as “is_today” which helps you generate daily reports. Additionally, you can combine multiple filters with either ‘AND’ or ‘OR’.
4- Compatible with PHP 7.4 or earlier.
The new version is fully compatible with PHP 7.4 which is, the most recent version (to this date) of PHP.
5-Fixing of all reported bugs.
